Our motorcycle is failing. Sometimes the Bajaj Pulsar 220 doesn’t start, the center stand scrapes against the ground, the kickstand is zip-tied up because it rubs against the chain… Even a fairing fell off once.

But we made it to Pontianak! We made it all the way from Jakarta to our final destination in Indonesia before we’d have to leave the motorcycle and take a bus into East Malaysia. So, this was a perfect opportunity to bring the bike to a mechanic.

Unfortunately, when we get there, they have some bad news for us. And then we have a particularly scary ride around the block.
