Minimalism as a life philosophy boils down to living a simple life with fewer but carefully selected things, fewer commitments and less noise to, instead, gain more clarity on the things that truly matter, more time, and more calm.

I have been living for 5 year on a baseline budget of $500 USD and then give it take a few hundred here and there for assorted vice.

At the time of this video I was convinced I would be able to handle the situation of full minimalism which consists on a fan a fridge a bed cold water shower and a small water kettle.

All up my expenses would range from $170 to $500 a month, but in the end I started to let the heat get to me and began drinking what I should have been saving and partying more than usual as an escape.

Let this be a lesson to new expats who want to move to south east Asia that cheaper and renting further out of the city is usually for people who have jobs or family’s in the area and not designed for everybody especially younger solo male transients.

I recommend younger single males to move into inner city areas and make sure there room has adequate space and is not too small too keep the clutter at bay which reduced stress and also lowering alcohol intake .
