Join paleoanthropologist and educator Briana Pobiner (National Museum of Natural History) and biological anthropologist and associate professor Amy Rector (Virginia Commonwealth University) for a program in the virtual HOT (Human Origins Today) Topic series.

Dr. Rector talks about her work as a paleoanthropologist and what it's like to search for fossils of our ancestors in eastern and central Africa. She describes why and how we decide where to look for fossils, and what it's like to be a part of a field project. She also talks about her recent work with teams in Zambia and Ethiopia, and her goal of reconstructing what the paleoenvironments of some of our earliest ancestors looked like.

This Zoom webinar aired March 14, 2024.
