We had the whole Flock crew in town for the holidays, so we day tripped up to Skaneateles, which is a charming, historic town on the northern tip of Skaneateles Lake—one of the eastern most Finger Lakes in central upstate New York. There, we met in situ carolers mingling about town; visited and sampled from the local bakeries (highly recommend!); nosed around the antique shops; and even spoiled ourselves with a lovely spa day and lunch. Later on, we stopped by the Artisan and Food Winter Market at Press Bay, Ithaca and eventually got to start a fire in the wood stove together at the Meadow House. We forgot to get chestnuts to roast on the open fire—but perhaps another time!
