Returning to the curvy lines of the previous generation before the aesthetic operation, the Korean manufacturer abandoned the sharp lines of the make-up version and used more fluid and elegant design elements - it is possible to see the traces of Sonata in the resulting product.

Design is not the only thing that comes close to Sonata because Elantra has started to play the top in its segment in terms of size, by increasing its wheelbase by approximately 20 mm and its total length by around 30 mm, thanks to its brand new infrastructure architecture. The Elantra, which has been widened while reducing its height, has achieved a dynamic stance with the shortened front bumper-wheel distance. We don't know if the design that Hyundai describes as "four-door coupe style" is that ambitious, but it is definitely a serious breakthrough compared to the facelift model.
The foundations of Elantra, which offers a volume of 474 liters with a trunk that expands by 16 liters compared to the previous generation model, will also be used in different models in the coming years. The platform named K3 is 45 kg lighter than before. Thanks to the longer wheelbase offered by the renewed platform, the legroom offered by the vehicle in the rear seats has increased by 60 mm. The interior design, which looks much more modern, also references the design language we saw in the i20 before.

The Elantra, which has a total of five equipment levels as Style, Style Comfort, Smart, Elite and Elite Plus, uses an atmospherically aspirated, 1.6-liter gasoline engine. The engine, which can produce 123 horsepower and 154 Nm of torque, can be paired with a 6-speed manual or continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
