After we waited for our Sudanese landing permits to be confirmed we departed Egypt towards Sudan. After a beautiful sunset we run into bad weather. With the help of an airline aircraft in the area we navigate our way around the storm. We land in Khartoum, Sudan and explore the country the next day. We visit several tempels and historic sides and stop along the road for some hibiscus tea. We end the day at the impressive pyramids of Meroe.

This is episode 6 of the Long way South Series; a 6 week journey flying the new Sling High Wing aircraft from The Netherlands to South-Africa.
