So much great deer habitat work can be done at little to no cost.  As I've shared in the past, one of the easiest deer habitat low cost/no cost projects you can tackle on your property is planting trees via cuttings.  Hybrid willow, red osier dogwood, willow, and hybrid poplar are all species I've planted in the past using free cuttings I found on our land or land I had permission to collect them on, and they've all rooted at a high success rate.

In this video, I tackle another one of these projects utilizing a hybrid willow we already had growing on our farm.  The great part about planting these trees is that once you get them established, you'll have seed trees you can take cuttings from in the future.
