In 2023, the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) partnered with the COPD Foundation to host the first-ever patient-focused sessions during the annual GOLD scientific conference. People with COPD partnered with expert clinicians to provide insight into the lived experience of COPD as well as to discuss treatment options to maximize quality of life while living with COPD.
