The Adirondack Forty-Sixers, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose members have climbed the 46 major peaks of New York’s Adirondack Mountains. As a 100% volunteer organization, they are dedicated to environmental protection, to education for proper usage of wilderness areas, to participation in New York State Department of Environmental Conservation-approved trail projects, and to the support of initiatives within the Adirondack High Peaks region by organizations with similar goals that enhance these objectives. This presentation will key into some of the past history of the club and a perspective of some of the programs they currently operate.
