Dr. Anna Valdez is a registered nurse with over 30 years of experience in clinical practice and nursing education. She has taught nursing at all levels in clinical, academic, and virtual settings. Dr. Valdez's research interests include emergency nursing, JEDI, bias, antiracism in nursing, and health equity. She is nationally certified in emergency, flight, and nursing education. Dr. Valdez has presented at several conferences and served on various health-related advisory boards. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and contributed as an author to two current emergency nursing books. Dr. Valdez has served as Editor in Chief for Teaching and Learning in Nursing.
