2016 Mini Cooper S Clubman Review, walkaround, in-depth tour, and test drive

The Mini Cooper is a great small car that is incredibly fun to drive, but is, as the name suggests, small car, so taking the family out for a drive isn't the most pleasant experience for your SO nor your kids. This limitation to the Mini Cooper's small impractical nature is easily remedied by the release of the of the first generation of the Mini Cooper Clubman in 2007. Sporting similar looks, and feel to the original Mini Hatch, but in a more grownup fashion, the Mini Cooper Clubman is sure to satisfy the boy racer with a family to raise.

But then, a problem remained. Any sensible family man who lived in a right hand drive country is sure not to send his family to their utter demise with the first generation Mini Cooper Clubman's suicide doors that for some amazing mindboggling reason, is exclusively located on the starboard, or right side of the car, which directly faces moving traffic. And with that, back to the studio.....

Mini designers probably squeezed every last bit of brainpower to think of the perfect solution to rectify this problem. If only the Mini Cooper Clubman could have more than 3 + 2 barn doors..... hmmm.... and so the second generation Mini Cooper Clubman was born in 2015. Featuring a groundbreaking set of 4 + 2 barn doors. Mini designers have now solved the meaning of life.

To make the meaning of life understandable, Mini slapped a 1.5L engine on it, but realized that it's a lot more complex that it seemed and the layman just couldn't comprehend it. They decided to dumb it down a little, and put a larger 2.0L engine on it, the Cooper S Clubman. Ah finally, even the layman understands it. All sensible 6 doors and 192 herseperse of it.
