The fifth version of Rad Power Bikes’ Dutch-inspired commuter bike, the Rad Power Bikes RadCity 5 Plus Step-Thru got a facelift, a new motor and (finally) hydraulic brakes for 2021.

In this Rad Power Bikes RadCity 5 Plus Step-Thru review, we take a look at how this bike climbs, stops, handles, and overall performs in the real world. It’s a Class 2 e-bike with a 750W rear hub motor, a MicroSHIFT 7-speed drivetrain, NUTT hydraulic disc brakes and a host of other thoughtful features designed to make it an efficient daily driver.

For this review, we put the RadCity 5 Plus Step Thru through our battery of tests including testing the stopping power of the brakes, the hill-climbing capability of the motor, the range of the battery, and the power curve of the different assist levels.
