See why Albert Einstein College of Medicine researchers are studying the effects of COVID-19 on the brains of young adults who had mild or asymptomatic infection. By comparing neuroimaging, cognitive, and blood tests of these healthy participants-- before the pandemic and after infection-- the investigators will examine if SARS-CoV-2 infection induces lasting changes in the brain and affects neurocognitive function.

Researchers:

-Michael L. Lipton, M.D., Ph.D., professor of radiology and of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Einstein and medical director of MRI Services for Montefiore Health System.
-Johanna Daily, M.D., M.S., professor of medicine and of microbiology & immunology at Einstein and an infectious disease physician at Montefiore.
