In this video, I break down The Expanse Season 5 Episode 6 "Tribes" with a full recap and review!

I thought this was a solid episode and a step up from last week’s. There were a few powerful character moments. We see Avasarala more rattled than I think we’ve ever seen her before. We see Amos and Clarissa both having to really confront who they are as people. We also see Marco challenged by Dummer and Cyn which I really enjoyed.

Similar to the last episode, there are still a few things I’m not loving from a storytelling standpoint on the Amos and Clarissa front which I’ll get into. But, as I mentioned with the increased focus on character development for both of them this episode, I still thought it was an improvement.

Episode 6 "Tribes" - Holden and the Roci go on the hunt. Amos and Clarissa seek shelter on a devastated Earth. Bobbie and Alex fight a desperate battle. Marco makes Drummer an offer she can’t refuse. Avasarala returns to a position of power.
