You can make a nice single RGB LED to mount to your Arduino for testing purposes out of some. I've used it more than I expected to since making it a little while ago.

This is intended for use at 5V. But it practice you can probably get away with it on the "ISP"/SPI header of 3.3V boards (or just given with a 3.3V logic in some other way). But you could build a passive voltage translation out of a diode and a pair of resistors right into the design if you wanted.

The below link is to the exact thing you're seeing in the video. It's the canonical URL, not an affiliate link or anything. If I ever have affiliate links, I'll let you know. But it doesn't seem like I'm in danger of that any time soon or possibly ever if... you know, nobody ever likes or subscribers or anything.

If you hunt around you can find them in smaller packs. I got these to have more than I'd ever care to have for projects so I didn't stew too much over whether to use and/or ruin one trying a dumb idea.
