In Part Two of the documentary 'World War II in the Pacific', the spring of 1945 brings a fierce war of attrition, with Japan's refusal to surrender pushing American forces to a critical point.

A war of attrition on land, in the air and on the ocean. By the Spring of 1945 the loss of life is great for both sides but Japan refuse to surrender leaving US Chiefs desperately looking for a way to end the war.
