Prayer (original):
San Sisto, San Sisto
lo spirito tristo e la mala sorte di giorno e di notte,
tu caccia da questa, tu caccia da noi;
tu strappa e calpesta ogni occhio che nuoce,
put a pinch on salt into the bowl, then dip thumb into water
(Qui faccio la croce.)

the sad spirit and bad luck by day and by night,
you drive them away, you drive them from us;
you tear and trample every eye that harms,
