The Volvo XC60 T8 Polestar Plug-in Hybrid is a joint creation by the wonders at Volvo and Polestar's engineering department. This car utilises a 4-cylinder petrol engine and electric power to produce 415bhp in this car, and 420bhp in the new model year cars.

The electric motor will give you roughly 20 miles of range on a full charge and I think that is where this car's sweet spot is. If you're doing short journeys everyday, the electric will do most of the work so you return fantastic MPG. As soon as you venture further afield, you will notice the MPG drop to around 30-35 on a run (because you're lugging those batteries round!).

at 5.4 seconds to 62, it's slightly faster than say an Audi Q5 55 TFSIe however I felt comparing this to an Audi SQ5 was more comparable.

With that in mind, I would personally buy the SQ5 as that car feels slightly more planted and sounds good.
