California Delta Trolling for Striper

We mostly troll the around Brannan Island, West Bank, Sherman Island, Collinsville, and Eddo’s. We flip flop between the Sacrament River and San Joaquin River. We do venture out but those are our go to’s!

We troll anywhere between 2.5 - 3.5 MPH. Many variables come in to play. Wind, tide, direction, style of lure, depth, or more we're probably missing. Time on the water is your best way to learn.

How much Line is out you ask?... More variables! How deep is the area your fishing? Is your lure a deep diver or shallow diver? Maybe a medium diver? A good rule of thumb would be 60-120 Feet.

Usually try and stay between 12-16 Feet of water. However again, that also depends on variables according to location. Just a rule of thumb.

We like Yo-Zuri and P-Line Lures. Rapalas are good options as well. https://www.fishermanswarehouse.com/ has all your needs! We usually use deep divers. Always use a trailer worm!

We are no tackle experts when it comes to Rods and Reels. We are not sponsored and make no money from our videos. Just a fun family fishing channel. We buy affordable medium heavy action rods and affordable reels. Ugly sticks and Okuma usually. May have 1 Phoenix rod on deck.

We appreciate all your support, comments, and feed back!
Come on out and Good Luck!!!
