Nissan's LEAF hatchback was for many years one of the best selling sub-$40,000 electric cars on the market.
But due to a lack of liquid cooled battery pack, many LEAFs have suffered premature battery aging - and Nissan isn't all that interested in offering affordable battery replacements.
Thankfully, there's a cottage industry around the world that's sprung up around Nissan Leaf battery replacements - often using battery pack capacities from Newer generation LEAFs to give older models improved range.
