We put people first. That's how we work at The Transition Strategists.

That means that the questions of "how" and the "how much," while important, aren’t the first or only ones we ask in planning a business transition. It works best this way, especially for family businesses.

Why?
Because understanding what you, your successor, and other people involved truly want is the foundation for designing a business transition that achieves a majority of goals for everyone.

Following this core principle becomes even more important during the holiday season 🎄

How many times have you taken over the dinner table with business talk?
As an entrepreneur myself, I get it! We LOVE talking about our business, our achievements, and our dreams for the future. But that's not the case for most of our family members.

If we bore and exclude people from conversations, we shouldn’t be surprised if relatives begin to resent our work. Those feelings can have serious consequences when it's time to transition a business to the next generation.

This video is all about the importance of being present, actively listening, connecting with people, and finding out about their dreams and achievements during family gatherings.
I hope you enjoy it!

🌟 Happy holidays!
