I just visited Acura today. They had their first ZDX in stock.

I own a Cadillac Lyriq (fully loaded AWD) and I love it. The ZDX is like an identical cousin in many ways. I'm not so attracted to the HEARSE-LIKE trim, but the rest of the car is nice as it's larger inside than the RDX and MDX.

The entry-level ZDX model is the single-motor A-Spec, which has a 342-horsepower motor and drives the rear wheels. A second motor is optional on that model, and it increases horsepower to 490 hp and adds all-wheel drive. The Type S gets two motors and all-wheel drive as standard. The Type S's electric motors are tuned up to deliver a combined 499 horsepower, and it also features an air suspension system with adaptive dampers plus Brembo brakes and 22-inch wheels.

It has GM's supercruise and Onstar as well as Google-based infotainment. It's got roughly the same power as the Lyriq. ~499 HP dual electric motors propels these things like a brick shithouse. You know it's 6000 pounds you're moving at low speed but when you step on it, it gets fast - quick - and silently.

The PROBLEM HOWEVER is that many Acura buyers are more likely to want the MDX because it has a 3rd row and isn't burdened with being an EV and requiring public charging.

The MDX A-spec is also cheaper than the ZDX A-spec by a wide margin.

If I was buying an ACURA, I'd buy it. I don't like anything else Acura has in fact.
