I flew extensively with DJI drones in India where temperatures reached about 35-40°C (95-113°F) in the shade. I faced several issues with my iPhone 13 Pro Max due to overheating, while the DJI RC Pro performed much better. These temperatures drastically reduced battery life, and if you need to fly for a few hours, you also need to charge the iPhone battery, which generates even more heat.

The DJI RC Pro was able to survive even while charging from a battery pack at 40°C (113°F), thanks to its active cooling system.

In such extreme temperature conditions, the maximum brightness of the iPhone drops to only about 20%, making it almost impossible to see anything in sunlight, and difficult to see in the shade.

This motivated me to create a video demonstrating the difference between the DJI RC Pro and the iPhone after only 30 minutes in direct sunlight. The old iPhone SE became very hot and was on the edge of overheating, but the display was still readable.

After these experiences, DJI RSs are the clear choice for me.
