I spent hours looking through earnings reports for Canada's 6 largest banks and compared them. National Bank is the clear winner for me and will receive a spot in my portfolio. But that doesn't mean the other 5 are bad investments. I'll also explain the situation for which I would consider purchasing the other 5 banks (TD, RBC, CIBC, BMO, and Scotiabank).
