Eventually I learned how to work around the new schedule for CSX's freight trains, and I felt fairly comfortable in this new territory.

For this round of trains, I caught Amtrak 145, the 40th anniversary Phase III heritage unit again. Unfortunately because it was having technical troubles, it appeared behind another P42DC, so I wasn't able to get good head-end shots. It was still cool seeing it again anyways. There was also a daylight M426 one Saturday. There was also a night where I caught M426 and M427 on the same day for the first time since January.

Toward the end of the month, I managed to get PH-1, where the NHN crew handles DO-1 from Portsmouth on Sunday. I haven't seen this happen since, but it was nice being able to catch a train from my home territory again.

It wouldn't be long before I would branch out yet again...
