'The Strangers - Chapter 1' is the first leg in a trilogy directed by Renny Harlin based on Bryan Bertino's 2018 movie (the most recent entry, 'The Strangers: Prey At Night' (2018) was directed by Johannes Roberts) and it goes without saying that it's a good thing that (apparently) the trilogy is being directed by a single person because there's a better chance stylistically and narratively the movies will mesh.
