Hyliion/Tortoise Acquisition Warrants expired Dec 30th. If you didnt submit to your broker for exercise by Dec 29th, They are going to redeem your warrants and send you .01 cent per warrant.

How to trade SPAC Warrants. SHLL/WS example. These warrants are so cheap relative to the stock. How can we take advantage of this disparity? Lets look at how its done. This the Hyliion/Tortoise Acquisition SHLL Stock and Warrant. Similar to NKLAW warrants.

HYLN filed an S-1 registration statement with the SEC. All those warrants expired on Dec 30th.
Then the SEC didnt like something so more S-1A amendments to correct the deficiencies. When the SEC approves the form, then the SEC declared the registration effective, which is an EFFECT filing.

Watch the SEC website here for "EFFECT" form to be filed by the SEC and then HYLN can ask you to redeem your warrants.
SEC Website: Check HYLN Filings for the "EFFECT" form.
https://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-ed...

When the registration statement is declared effective by the SEC, the very next trading day, HYLN/WS will trade below intrinsic value. That may happen because HYLN share price drops.
HYLN/WS selling for less than HYLN share price - $11.50 - Discount to reflect 2 weeks waiting for shares and cant sell them until received.

Because HYLN has been trading well over $18 ever since the merger, chances are high that HYLN will issue a redemption notice within a few days after the S-1 statement is declared effective. HYLNW holders will then have 30 days to either exercise the warrants ( Cash Exercise) or to sell them.

All these SPACs have a similar structure of stock and warrants. Please review specific Prospectus to get exact details for each as they are not standard like a call option. There are too many SPACs coming to market and flooding investors with too many choices. This will not end well....We are SPAC overload now...so please be careful and consult your investment advisor beforehand.
