Now that Thanos has torn up the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Infinity War using the six Infinity Stones in the Infinity Gauntlet, it's hard to imagine how any villains could possibly top him in the popular comic book movie franchise.

Marvel Studios could potentially bring the likes of Galactus into the franchise, should Disney end up purchasing Fox and gaining his movie rights, but that's by no means a certainty with Comcast now seriously in the mix.

There are, however, a number of villains already lurking in the MCU who are more powerful than Thanos - at his base level without the Infinity Stones at least.

In this video we'll look at ten of them - and the ten in question are; the powerful ruler of the Dark Dimension known as Dormammu, the ancient mystical being by the name of Cyttorak, his equally ancient mystical counterpart Valtorr, Adam Warlock's evil half who goes by the name the Magus, the Elder of the Universe known as the Collector, his fellow Elder of the Universe the Grandmaster, the gigantic fiery demon and destroyer of Asgard Surtur, the Asgardian Goddess of Death Hela, the incredibly powerful cosmic entity Death, and one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse the Living Tribunal.
