Searching for campsites and exploring with my girlfriend in our 1988 Toyota Pickup, and then visiting the Giant Sequoia Trees located in McKinley Grove, deep within the Sierra National Forest in California. We've found some of the best camp sites just by exploring and leaving without a destination, turning off forgotten roads and then searching for suitable areas.

We camp in a Roof Top Tent (RTT) and explore the mountains to find a great campsite, eventually stopping and checking out these colossal ancient trees. These trees are some of the longest living things on Earth, typically living over 2000 years. We make some simple camping meals (camp and cook), and just enjoy the scenery and outdoors. This spontaneous trip was totally worth it and the truck did very well! It was definitely an adventure.
