Waqar Younis took 11 wickets for 119 runs in the 3rd Test of the Pakistan tour of Sri Lanka in 1994. He was the Player of the Match for his performance, which helped Pakistan to a comprehensive victory.

Younis's wickets included the key scalps of Aravinda de Silva, Arjuna Ranatunga, and Hashan Tillakaratne. He also bowled with great control, conceding just 2.37 runs per over.

The 11 wickets were the most by a Pakistani bowler in a Test match in Sri Lanka at the time. They also helped Younis to reach the milestone of 100 Test wickets.
