Here are all the items you need to start and run an Amazon FBA business in 2020.

If you are currently starting an Amazon FBA business doing retail or online arbitrage you will need several different products in order to run your business. So here is everything you need to run an Amazon FBA business.

First you will need the obvious which is boxes and tape. For boxes, if you can, try to reuse boxes from either online arbitrage or if you can get boxes from someone that you know who works at a warehouse or store. The tape will be linked down below with the rest of the supplies I mention.

Next is packing materials. Again if you can reuse material you are already getting from online arbitrage shipments that is ideal. The reason I suggest reusing where you can is to save a bit of money. Every dollar you save is a dollar in profit for your business.

Once you have your boxes packed you will need to weigh them and that is where a scale comes in handy. I recommend a scale with a digital readout so that way when you have large boxes on it, you can still see the weight.

For the boxes that you reuse you will need a heater or blow dryer in order to take off old labels. I'll link my video about sending in your first shipment to see why you need to remove those labels. Also, a heater works in your favor if you shop at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods or similar stores that use their own labels for products.

After you remove most of the sticker you'll want to use Goo Gone and a magic eraser to remove any sticker residue left over. Goo Gone is also great for products that come in plastic bags or similar packaging. You can't use the heater because you would melt the packaging.

If any of the products you plan on buying and selling require extra prep work you will need several supplies for that. First is poly bags which are useful for a couple different things. They can be used for textile products like clothes or stuffed animals. They can be used for liquids that could potentially leak and for creating bundles of items.

Then there's bubble bags which do the same thing as poly bags, but with the added benefit of protecting the item if it's fragile. If your item is too big or too fragile for a bubble bag then you might want to consider some small boxes for extra protection.

Keep in mind if you are just starting out and don't want to buy all the prep materials right away, you can pay Amazon an extra fee to prep the items for you. I did this myself when I first started selling on Amazon FBA.

After your items are ready you will need to add Amazon labels to cover the UPC and there are a couple options for that. If you are just starting I would recommend 30 UP labels. These can be printed in a regular laser jet or similar home printer. Once you decide to upgrade to a thermal printer you can get a Zebra 2824 with a label roll which will be linked below.
