La Paz Waterfall Gardens is a privately owned nature park a couple of hours away from San Jose. The park is home to a wildlife sanctuary, aviary, lodge, historical farm, and five impressive waterfalls!

Accessibility: lots of steps and lots of walking
Getting there: we took a public bus, but the public bus system is not designed for tourists and was difficulty to navigate. Could take an uber, taxi, or rent a car.
