It can't be easy, being the younger sister to Mary-Kate and Ashley. That's why Elizabeth Olsen waited 22 years to make her leading lady debut. Interview by Paul Byrne for http://www.movies.ie

A childhood spent watching your siblings become a multi-billion-dollar brand has got to make you think twice about stepping into the limelight.

What if you too tried to be an all-singing, all-dancing cute kid, and you fell flat on your face? Or worse, what if you tried to be an all-singing, all-dancing cute kid, and you fell straight into fame and fortune? Suddenly, you'd have to spend your every waking hour in front of bright lights -- either on a film set or in front of the paparazzi?

For Elizabeth Olsen, seeing twin older sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley become child stars -- the duo having made their debut at the ripe old age of 1, on the TV series Full House -- and then accumulating the kind of fame and wealth that made them a somewhat permanent fixture in the tabloids and on the Forbes celebrity rich list, well... it must have been a little mind-blowing.

Future projects include red Lights, Kill Your Darlings, Very good girls, Therese Raquin, Silent House, Liberal arts, Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding

Martha Marcy May Marlene hits Irish cinemas Feb 3rd
