Homeless individual who received help from Courtyard Homeless Resource Center, is now runs center.

The City of Las Vegas Courtyard Homeless Resource Center can serve up to 500 individuals a day. Everyone is welcome at the courtyard, including pets. The Courtyard is a one-stop-shop with the working model: Hired, Housed, Healthy. 98 percent of those working at the courtyard homeless resource center have experienced homelessness. We met with Harlan Thompson, who once slept on the street outside the courtyard. Harlan received assistance from the resource center and began volunteering at the courtyard before later being offered a job. And now, 5 years later—he’s the program manager, proudly showing us around the center.
