Before you do though, know that deleting your Twitter account actually isn't the best move for your security even with all the recent Elon Musk hijinx. The best course of action might be to hold on to your account and username, so it isn't snapped up by someone you don't want to have it. Especially with Twitter Blue coming back, you don't want someone verifying your old name and misusing it.
