Did you get the memo?! Fresedo's early sextet is just amazing, especially in 1927, when the bass player Humberto Costanzo is given free rein. He's the most rhythmic bass player of the era on disc, and the result is music that is playful and powerful. Here's a tanda featuring some of the most playful instrumentals from that year.
