In part 2, Debra examines our thought life and how easy it is for our brains to follow the path of least resistance. So we need to be more intentional about “taking every thought captive.” Debra then discusses why we need to see our emotions as signals, but not necessarily truth. She describes how a near-death experience made her physiologically fearful every time she got a little sick, so she needed to learn how to control her emotions. Debra concludes with the importance of self-care, which she identifies as “soul-care.”
