Opus 40 is a massive environmental sculpture in Saugerties, New York, made by sculptor/artist, Harvey Fite. It's made up of stone ramps, pedestals, platforms, and ponds in a bluestone quarry that he purchased in 1938. Stunning views await at every level whether you're walking at its highest spot or through one of several winding lower level passageways. The entire place is beautiful! I immediately understood why it took 37 years to construct.
