Glenn Carlos - Artistic Director
Glenn Carlos has more than 30 years of experience conducting, performing, teaching voice, composing, arranging and recording. Throughout his career, Mr. Carlos has demonstrated his knowledge of and appreciation for diverse musical genres. Mr. Carlos is Associate Professor and Director of Choral Activities at Los Angeles Valley College where he teaches voice and conducts several ensembles. Mr. Carlos’ Vocal Jazz ensemble was one of eight groups statewide selected to perform in Sacramento as part of a celebration of California State community colleges. He also serves as a consultant for the NARAS Grammy Awards Foundation.

Mr. Carlos’ teaching and conducting posts have included the University of Southern California, California State University, Long Beach, Pasadena City College, the Ebell Women’s Chorale and the Hollywood Master Chorale. He has been featured as a soloist with and has prepared choirs for David Foster, Diane Warren, Michael Feinstein, Dave Brubeck and Shelly Berg. His published original compositions and arrangements are available through UNC Press and Yelton Rhodes Music. Mr. Carlos enjoys appearing as a guest choral clinician and adjudicator for choir festivals throughout Southern California. He is a member of the American Choral Directors Association.

Frank Garvey - Accompanist
Dr. Frank Garvey is an active performer in the fields of solo and collaborative music, instrumental and art-song accompaniment, choral accompaniment, and musical theater. He has performed in his home country of Ireland, as well as Great Britain, France, Hungary, and California. Dr. Garvey taught and coached in Ireland and in California including Los Angeles Valley College, the University of San Diego, Santa Monica College, Pierce College, Biola University, and the University of California, Los Angeles, where he received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance. He has premiered the works of contemporary composers in Ireland, Hungary, and the United States, and he has arranged and composed for both piano and vocal ensemble. Dr. Garvey has also been a music director in churches in the US and Ireland. Dr. Garvey currently maintains a private teaching studio, is a coach-accompanist for the Los Angeles Community College District, and is on the teaching faculty of Los Angeles Valley College.
