October 5, 2018

Exactly 5 years ago from this upload, me and my friend Jack and my brother Roman filmed a cool, fun and somewhat sketchy video. Jack owned a 2002 Toyota Solara at the time (with over 200,000 miles on it) and we discovered this dike/hill on a dirt road out in the country. We thought it’d be fun to drive really fast and hit that hill at a high speed and see how much air we could get and do a full on jump over the hill. The first few flips were actually filmed at the end of September 2018 when we first came across the hill. But the main event which was the last two jumps that were the biggest was filmed on October 5, 2018. We hit the first few jumps at around 65-75MPH and the last 2 jumps were between 85-90MPH. The only damage the car has was the fog light that popped out. Other than that, literally nothing was wrong with the car. A 16 year old car (at the time) with over 200,000 miles on it basically had no damage after 4 big jumps over that hill at pretty high speeds. One of them was with all 3 of us in the car too which added a lot more weight obviously. This shows how good Toyota engineering is and how good they build their vehicles. On top of that, they are the most reliable brand. Ironically enough, Jack actually got in an accident and totaled the Solara just 3 days later. (The accident wasn’t his fault and he was not hurt). It’s sad because we had a lot of fun with that Solara and it survived all those jumps just to be totaled 3 days later because of some other driver not paying attention. I hope you all enjoyed this video. If we still had the Solara, we’d definitely do it again but all of our cars now are too new and too nice to do that but maybe someday we will find another car to do that same type of jump with. I don’t recommend trying this unless you absolutely know what you’re doing. Even if you do, I do not suggest trying anything like this. I thought this video turned out awesome. I have clips of the last couple jumps already on the channel but I never put all this footage together and made a full video and uploaded it 5 years ago after we filmed it. So I thought it all turned out good especially since it’s from 5 years ago when I hadn’t been doing YouTube for very long. Make sure you browse the channel and subscribe! Thanks for watching!
