Today we're goin to make some major changes on the modules by installing the Aegis upgrade for the PowerCab along with an Alpha Meter and Alpha Panel. These will give me a continuous 5 amps of power, as well as my choice of 14, 15, 17, or 18 volts on the track. I'll be able to monitor that with the Alpha Meter which is designed to provide accurate measurements of DCC power, while the Alpha Panel will allow me to plug in up to 3 wired throttles. It's going to be a noisy and dusty process but in the end I think i'll have a much more convenient system and I'll get rid of all the clutter on the front fo the layout.
