After driving a loaded Polestar 2 with Pilot, Plus, and Performance packages last year, Polestar sent us a super-base Polestar 2 with no packages at all to compare! This 2022 Polestar 2 Base is a FWD single-motor model making 231 HP and 243 lb-ft. Range is claimed at 270 miles, and it'll fast-charge up to 155 kW, to go from 10-80% in 35 minutes, per Polestar.

Every Polestar 2 uses the same Google software to run the infotainment and gauge cluster, and now all owners have Apple CarPlay thanks to a recently-issued over-the-air software update.
