1. it’s enough for survival, comforts and a few luxuries without excessive burdens

- not I’ve been blessed in a way to come from a 3rd world country and to know what real needs actually are ( because many people don’t know )
- people think a car is a need, new shoes are a need or even getting a house is a need
- the truth is when you boil it down, life has very few needs for survival ( if you don’t believe look at a homeless man, not to live like him, but to see what actually sustains this man )

The answer is Food and Clothing ( not even shelter he needs ) think about that

But obviously, we Don’t live that ( so here are the main 4 needs in a way )
- Shelter: houses are 74% larger than they were 100 years ago, think about that. You think you need 3 bedrooms because you have kids or you have clothes you need to fit into an entire room. You don’t, kids can bunk beds together and you don’t need that many clothes.
- Utilities: Gas for cooking, Lighting for Turning things on, and water for washing yourself and drinking ( everything else outside of that Is not a need, including your phone bill, the internet or Netflix subscriptions)
- Groceries: with $250 a month, or you can buy 40 whole chickens, 1000 eggs or 50 lbs of beef. My point is your groceries bill is high, not because of your necessities, but because of all the other dumb stuff you buy
- Transportation: my uncle bought a car, a Camry 2002 with about 100k plus miles, for $1,000 dollars. I took the bus for $120 a month. Those are needs being fulfilled.

When you have that perspective of reality:
- Then you can consider adding some more comforts
- And maybe some luxuries that won’t tax you too much
- For example, I want to go on vacation once a year to a nice place (that is durable, but wanting to go a 10k vacation might not be)
- Or wanting a little nicer of a car ( but wanting a Tesla Model s might be pushing it )

2. Enough has 4 qualities
1. Accountability; knowing every penny that comes in and leaves
2. An internal yardstick for fulfillment: you can never have enough if you base success on what other people think ( don’t keep up with the Jones it’s not worth it )
3. A purpose hire than just satisfying own wants and desires: expressing and giving to other our gifts and talents. Life is not about fulfilling all of our personal desires that’s ridiculous and selfish
4. Responsibility for living for more than ( me, myself and I )
- If life is just about you, then you won’t be satisfied until you have it all. Life is not just about you.

3. Now in the end
- You will be different than most people
- And people might even judge you
- But that’s fine
