Velero is an open source project leveraged by VMware Tanzu Mission Control for data protection capabilities. It provides two ways to back up volumes with volume plug-in for volume snapshots and/or through file system backup. And it covers many use cases, such as on-demand and scheduled backups, backups based on namespaces, labels, and more.
