He has been fossil collecting since a very young age and found a five foot skull of an Ichthyosaur that’s in the Lyme Regis Museum . He splits exactly the right layered rocks to find the fossils in . I strongly recommend sturdy gloves and safety spectacles, if your are fossil collecting along the Jurassic Coast! The fossils he is taking from the beach will be prepared very carefully and saved from the destruction of the sea . These ammonites are small and beautiful. I personally have found an ammonite that’s 65 cm across and that’s a large fossil in the Cardiff Museum! The sea destroys what we all don’t find very rapidly . During the recent lockdown when no one was on the beach it became very apparent how quickly the sea eroded things !
