Protesters in Peckham blocked a coach on Thursday intended to take asylum seekers to the Bibby Stockholm barge.

Dozens of people were seen surrounding the coach before police arrived to clear them away and carried out arrests. The coach was eventually released and drove away. The Metropolitan police’s deputy assistant commissioner Ade Adelekan said officers had engaged with protesters at the scene and had warned them they could be arrested.
