If you’re looking hard at the new 2025 Lincoln Aviator and thinking to yourself, “Well, that really doesn’t look much different than the old one,” you’re not entirely wrong. The update Lincoln performed on the 2025 Aviator three-row luxury SUV doesn’t really focus much on its style, which it had plenty of to begin with. Aside from the slightly modified grille and headlights, a couple of new colors and a new Jet Package blackout look, Lincoln didn’t change what wasn’t broken. Same with the powertrains: Lincoln left well enough alone (actually, it left outstanding alone) and kept the 400-horsepower, twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 and 10-speed automatic transmission unchanged.

So, what did Lincoln change for 2025? The interior has a few new screens, some new functions, new materials and a slightly revised layout. But there’s three big pieces of news for ‘25: BlueCruise semi-autonomous hands-free driving system is now standard across all models; the new Lincoln Digital Experience brings an Android-based operating system in to control the vehicle’s functions and multimedia experience; and a lot more equipment is now standard on the Aviator than it was for 2024. Enough to justify a nearly $5,000 price bump? We certainly think so.

Cars.com Detroit Bureau Chief Aaron Bragman got a first look at the new 2025 Aviator and takes you through the refreshed SUV outside and in. Ordering starts immediately, and deliveries are expected to start in the summer of 2024.
