HBO’s The Wire follows the drug trade of Baltimore, Maryland, featuring classic characters like Avon Barksdale, Stringer Bell, Jimmy McNulty, Marlo Stanfield and Chris Partlow.

Though it starts off as a cops vs drug dealers show, each season of The Wire added a new layer, showing the corrupt and broken systems which are at fault for the city's problems, such as the the ports, bureaucracies, schools and finally the media.

The Wire was actually cancelled after season 3, and the show creators had to fight to keep the show alive. It ran for 5 seasons, but what if there was another season of The Wire?
