Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car!

I battled between bands of rain showers that came through the area this morning, but as I was finishing up the drone flights, some blue skies began to break through the clouds. The site was very busy again today, despite the early morning and the rains.

The most apparent change since my previous video on 22 March was the amount of Cybertrucks that have departed the west and east lots. There were probably about 200 in the outbound lot, the west superchargers, the east side of the new EOL facility and on the east testing lot, but this was down from the over 400 we saw on Friday, so transportation off site seems to be picking up as well.

On this early morning, I could also see production resuming after the day off yesterday (Sunday), but I could also see around a thousand Cybertruck castings on the east side of the main factory, so that work continued through the weekend.

In the video introduction, I discuss not only the changing numbers of on-site Model Y's and Cybertrucks, but also the progress of the Boring Company crews getting the Prufrock 3 ready to start tunneling operations. Today, crews were inspecting, and even entering into the front drill head of the Prufrock 3.

I also discuss the south end extension work of the main factory, to include the removal of one of the two large yellow cranes that was helping to install the steel structure on the west side. Crews were busy working on the ground floor of the new extension, both in the three parallel excavations, but also on other sections of the ground, fabricating rebar and preparing (possibly) for more slab construction.

A few additional highlights to look for today:

The east side of the casting machine section of the main factory continues to get drill-type piers installed, with around 70 already installed and more yet to come. This section had all the concrete removed and ground preparation for these new piers in what may be a new extension of the structure in this area.

The multi-level parking garage is nearing its final size and shape, with just a few sections on the east and northeast sides yet to be assembled. Most of the remaining concrete parts to do this are on site, stored nearby. The new southeast intersection and extension of both River Road and Robotic Avenue continues to make progress now, with more earthwork, tree removal and ground shaping for this new intersection well underway.
