A Video showing various engines tackling the infamous engine hill at Porthtowan, Cornwall. This road run happens every 5 years as a way to remember Alan Thomas who helped make the west of England steam engine society (weses) and the Cornish Steam & Country Fair grow its popularity and success. The road run itself consists of 17 miles of country roads from Chacewater to Stithians showground with engine hill being the highlight for not only the engine owners but for the enthusiast and for those who just want to see a spectacular event. One stand out highlight of this road run was three Burrells, 3903 'Excelsior', 3937 'Janet' and 3919 'Susie' hauling a 17 tonne stationary engine house beam up engine hill.
